Rockets Blastin' Off!

I haven't been taking my camera around with me lately so I don't have any pictures to post on my blog.

Wildboyz Cycling Division:
Yesterday morning Allan, Josephine, Althea, and I went on our weekly Saturday bike ride. Most of the usuals ended up flaking... HAHA Just kidding! But its all good... Hopefully next week we'll be riding full force again. JR Laguna doesn't get his fix gear till Thursday... I know its gonna be a long week for you bro... Only 5 more days!

The four of us biked down Camino Del Sur through the back way to Rancho Bernardo's 4S Ranch. We even dropped by April and Christine's apartment (2) but no one answered the door. It was still a bit early... I think Christine said she might have been in the shower when we stopped by. Next we rode down to Carmel Mountain and stopped by Costco (3) to have lunch... Cesar chicken salad, pepperoni pizza, and a polish dog.

Althea's parents ended up meeting up with us since they were in the area. It was the first time her parents saw our new bikes! Althea's mom told me, "Aww... You don't look so chubby anymore," as she stroked her cheeks. Althea and I were crackin' up but I took it as a complement. Afterwards, we stopped by the Workshop (4) for a few minutes and then headed back to the Wildboyz Headquarters aka My House (1)!

According to Team Captain... Allan Purgalidad, we biked about 17 miles. It wasn't an easy 17 miles but we did it and I feel great!
NBA Playoffs:
The NBA Playoffs started yesterday. Guess who I'm routing for? The Houston ROCKETS lead by T-Mac and Yao Ming.
Here are my 1st round NBA playoff predictions:
I hope the Lakers make it to the Western Conference Finals and play the Rockets so I can get playoff tickets!!!

Concrete:
Ollie's birthday week continued last night at Excelsior. The vibe was fun, the crowd was diverse, and the dance floor was packed the entire night... Except when Cecile, Rhoda, and Rose started dancing towards the end. Elephant dance!!! HAHA Some of the homies came out but a few got caught up doing inventory at the Workshop. Thanks to Kieth for hookin' it up with drinks. Victory's veteran DJs: Impakt aka Glen and Majestik aka Al (Jammin' Z90) came by with a couple of friends from New Jersey.

Happy Birthday to Cha and Ed! Party at JT's (Mission Gorge) this Wednesday for SpeculED's birthday!

Alvaro's was crackin' afterwards... It was a MCHS reunion.

Today:
Right now I'm watching the Los Angels Lakers play the Phoenix Suns on ABC HD. I like Steve Nash and the Suns but I want the Lakers to win! Kobe is on fire!!! 28 points in the first half! I can't wait to watch the rest of the games today.

I'm also meeting w/ Aldryn and Ollie later today. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and be on the look out for Victory: The New Era coming Summer 2007.

TGIF

Wildboyz Cycling Division will be cycling once again this Saturday @ 10AM. Our destination is TBA, but it'll most likely be a 10-15 mile bike ride w/ lunch at a sit down restaurant. Today, Drew finally turned 21 years old! Yay... I no longer have to sneak him into anymore clubs... HAHA Guess what he's doing for his 21st? Going to Las Vegas w/ 25 of his closest friends!!! He has $1K in speading money but I hope he doesn't blow it all at once at the tables. I'm excited for him and I hope he has a wonderful time... Please be safe!

Video of the Week

Allan introduced me to this show called "HUMAN GIANT" on MTV the other day. Thats all he's been talking about lately... Just check them out on YouTube by searching Human Giant. Its really funny! This week's Video of the Week is a short 3 min spoof they did of Criss Angel from A&E's Mindfreaks.

If you don't know who Criss Angel is, he basically has his own TV show on A&E where he performs freaky illusions.

Meetings4Life!

Meetings... Meetings... Meetings... Thats all I've been doing lately. I don't mind it though b/c I love sharing ideas and working w/ new people.

This past Tuesday we had a Victory Nightlife meeting at the usual spot in Mission Valley. Its a great way to catch up w/ folks and new faces are always dropping by. We're planning on having a team building event at Dave & Busters Tuesday, May 1st at Happy Hour so come out and hang out w/ the Victory staff.

I'm really excited about Victory Nightlife's upcoming House of Blues event for Memorial Day Weekend aka My Birthday Week! HAHA Its been over two months since we've done a Club Massive at HOB... We've been holding off till Memorial Day Weekend b/c its a great way to kick off the summer. We have lots planned for this upcoming Club Massive and our biggest announcement is that we've teamed up w/ Paul the Promoter (Thuy's Boyfriend) from Visionshock SD.
I'm looking forward to taking Victory to the next level... Be on the look out! Summer '07 is coming soon!

Yesterday, I met w/ Paul the Promoter from Visionshock SD again to finalize details for HOB. Afterwards I met w/ Consensus Entertainment to help plan this years Body Rock Dance Competition. This year, Body Rock is on Saturday, June 2nd at the San Diego Civic Theater in Downtown. Once again, I'm in charge of the backstage area and the preshow. This years line up is crazy!!!

Wildboyz x Phantom

Fusion Dance Competition present by 220 & Masa was this past Sunday at the UCSD Rimac Arena. I brought my camera in hopes of taking tons of pictures for the blog but after I took my first picture my camera died. =(
Overall the show was just like every other year. The excitement isn't really there anymore, but maybe because this was my 5th Fusion event. It was great seeing all of our friends in the dance community though. I miss everyone!

At the show, Thomas Phantom had his own booth where he premiered the *NEW* Wildboyz x Phantom callabo t-shirts: "The FineSDt" Be on the look out for these t-shirts at your local shops.
UrbanFX did a magnificent job! It was a great well rounded show: costumes, music selection, & choreography were all wonderful. Most importantly it was entertaining to watch! I'm especially proud of you, Baby Myst! You guys should have seen Myster workin' it front and center for the girls piece. I'm glad you were still able to perform despite your mountain biking accident. HAHA Good job team! 143!!!

I managed to take one more picture of the 2007 Fusion Champions... Team Millennia! Congratulations to CSU Fullerton's TM... You guys deserved it! I loved it!!!
Don't forget the mother of all dance competition is coming in June... BODY ROCK!
