Extreme Skydiving

Jomo did such a great job blogging about our Extreme Skydiving adventure so I decided to use it as a guest blog.  Thanks Jomo!

When I was down in SD a few weeks ago, Alvin (Willy's/WildBoyz) asked if I was going to Vegas. After confirming that I was he then proceeded to ask if I wanted to try something different, something outside of the gambling and clubbing and drinking.

Skydiving: something that I've wanted to do since high school; something I've felt was way safer than bungee jumping. Well with the way my summer's been going so far, I couldn't turn it down.

Drove over to the Flamingo to pick up Toe-Knee and Alvin.


Met up with Ron aka DJ Bluballz at the Tropicana to wait for the shuttle.

The drop spot was about 20 miles away from the strip near the Gold Coast Casino, here at Jean Airport.

To be honest, it never really hit us that we were about to jump out of a plane at 15,000 feet, free falling at 120 mph, for about 3 minutes.


It only hit us when we were called out to the plane.

What a rush! The most exhilarating experience of my life fo sho!! I highly recommend trying this at least once in your life.

Man our Vegas trip seems so long ago... I'm so behind on my blog.  I'm gonna do a quick recap of Las Vegas.  I wish I had internet when I was there to keep everyone update to date.

Saturday, August 9th:

After skydiving we headed back to the Flamingo to get ready to hit up the nightlife scene.  Our original plan was to go to Tao at Venetian but we got there at midnight and the line was ridiculously long.  We ran into lots of people from San Diego while outside but it seemed impossible.  So we decided to head over to Moon  at the Palms for Cyrus' (Jade Theater) birthday extravaganza.

Sunday, August 10th: 

Its Sunday, which meant its time for a lunch time buffet.  We decided to check out the buffet at the Mandalay Bay hotel.

After lounging and napping at the Flamingo pool it was time to head to Body English.  I stopped by Cyrus' Hard Rock suite to meet up.  Check out the view from his room... Nice!
Body English is the place to be on Sundays.  Luckily for us we had a VIP section overlooking the club.

Monday, August 11th:

Everyone pretty much went their separate ways Monday afternoon.  Originally Tristan and I were suppose to leave but we didn't make the last flight because they were full so we ended up staying until Tuesday.  Geez... 5 Days in Las Vegas is a lot!  HAHA

So we ended up going back to the Hard Rock to check out the Gumball 3000.  We were suppose to meet up with Aly (Alphanumeric), Jay (5&A Dime), and Irons (The Upstarts) but all of us ended up staying in and knocking out.  
This is a $1.8 million dollar car... Damn!

After losing $$$ at Hard Rock, Tristan and I cruised over to David's house to just relax and catch up.  It was a chill night...

Tuesday, August 12th:

I caught up on some sleep and headed to the airport.  I was planning to grab food with a friend but we ended up missing each other.  There's always next time...  

Thanks Vegas for another wild weekend!  See you on Monday... I'll be back in Vegas from Monday, August 25th - Wednesday, August 27th for Magic.  I'm not sure if its a good idea though... HAHA
