FINALLY...

Its been over 22 days since I've updated my blog. I apologize to my loyal blog readers for the lack of updates, but I've really had my hands full. Here are a few key highlights from the past few weeks that I'm sure many of you might have already heard about in other blogs:

-I'm official a certified business owner. I am the proud new CEO of Victory Nightlife Co. I aspire to take Victory Entertainment's prestigious 9 year history to the next level with Victory Nightlife. Be on the look out for what's to come... '07-'08.

-I'm starting my MBA program with an emphasis in Global Management at the University of Phoenix this upcoming Thursday. I'm kinda nervous b/c U of P is catered to the working adult therefore many of the students will be older with more real world experience. Although, I might lack full time work experience, I believe the skills that I've learned by running a business (planning, marketing, negotiating, human relations, etc) and my personal skills will give me a good balance.

Its weird b/c I only have class on Thursday from 6:00 - 10:00PM. But I they've already warned me that I'll have enough work to keep me busy throughout the week. Yikes... Lots of reading... You know my reading skills aren't really on par.  Also, I think I might be the youngest person in the MBA program, but hopefully I can use that to my advantage.

-We celebrated Althea's 24th birthday @ Heat... Lets just say we all know she had a great time... Throwing up... Everywhere!  Happy 24th Birthday Myster!

-Purple Haze 2 won its first basketball game in dramatic fashion with a game winning 3 pointer by OJ with 6 seconds left against our rivals The Fam aka Team Elegado.

-George & Rhoda's birthday celebration @ Crudo. Fun! I spent $180 on dinner and alcohol. Not fun!

-Excelsior in La Jolla, our bi weekly Saturday venue, shut down b/c they didn't renew their cabaret license... Too bad someone forgot to mention it to me the night we planned on having UCSD's Grad Nite! Worse ever!!!

-Meet with Dave Gonzales from Hot Import Nights (Myron's partner/boss for 21XL Events Company) @ their Irvine office. Dave Gonazles is the Yoda of event coordinating... It was a wonderful eye opening experience to see how much work is put into HIN, which tours in 20+ cities nationwide bringing 20,000+ people to each event. Now thats a massive event... But don't worry we've got a few things coming up that I'm really excited about!

I'm also going to be working with Dave and Myron as the San Diego representative for "The World of Dance" coming in November... More info coming soon!

-KJ's birthday @ Harney's in Old Town. I'm usually pretty pick about my food but all the sushi I tried there was delicious. Highly recommended spot! Happy Birthday KJ!

-Vince came home from Japan for a few days... Just like that he's already back in Osaka, Japan.  I was refreshing to have him home... Got lots of good laughs too!  Have fun and be safe bro!  I hope I can visit you soon!  

-I want the iPhone! Last week I decided I was gonna hold off on the iPhone b/c it $600 but the more I watch the iPhone videos on apple's site the more I want it! So... Fuck it! I am gonna get one but there already people waiting in line in NYC for the iPhone, which releases at 6PM on Friday. 

-Althea and I are planning to take a trip to Hawaii in July. Just the two of us... We rarely do anything with just the two of us, so I thought it would be a great way for the both of us to just get away and enjoy each others company. I'm really excited b/c I've never been to Hawaii... Althea went once when she was only 17 years old. I'm looking forward to going scuba diving for the first time! Any recommendations on places or activities we should do/visit while we're in Hawaii?

This past weekend has been the longest weekend ever! Let me take it back to...

Thursday: Althea took me out to dinner for my birthday. We ate at Roy's Hawaiian Fusion for the first time in La Jolla. They had delicious food and wonderful service. We both highly recommend it to everyone!

I'm 24!!!

Friday: I was busy all day preparing for our long weekend. I had lunch w/ Moe, Jodonn, Ryan, and Bayani at TGIF in Downtown. I also stopped by Blends to visit the homies... I ended up getting my first pair of Air Max 360s. I've always wanted a pair of 360s b/c I heard they were really comfy but they're so expensive. Luckily everything at Blends was on sale this weekend so I finally got a pair. $175 but 40% off... Its still a lot of money but they feel great!

I spent a few hours at Ollie's house w/ Bayani printing Victory Nightlife shirts for HIN: Nightshift and Body Rock. Uncle Gill even cooked us spaghetti... It was pretty random just eating dinner at Ollie's w/ Uncle Gill and Bayani... Without Ollie. HAHA

We also had reLOADED @ Heat Supper Club that night for the official HIN: Nightshift & Body Rock Preparty. It was seriously packed!!! We were at capacity early and it was seriously HOT in there! Lots of different promoters came out to show love: Visionshock, Love in the Club, Event Vibe, Climax, etc. Its our 3rd consecutive week at capacity... Heat is the *NEW* Friday Night Hot Spot!!! Join us this Friday for Althea's birthday!!!

I had a slumber party at my house that night for Body Rock. When I got home at 2:45AM KJ was already there. Jeff and Melissa (aka Melissa R from the Pussy Cat Dolls) didn't get to my house till almost 3:30PM. We ended up watching Scarred on MTV and eating Cheez Its. I don't think I could watch another episode of Scarred... That shit is gross! I wonder who watches that shit regularly? Sickos!

Anyways we had to be at Body Rock at 8AM and I was tossing and turning the entire night b/c my tooth was hurting. I slept for 1 hour... No joke!

Saturday: The BIG day! Victory Nightlife had 4 events all in one day. The majority of our team was at HIN: Nightshift @ Coors Amphitheater ft. E-40. We also had two After Parties at Deco's w/ Deviate and another at Excelsior w/ Color Me Fresh and Babe Blvd.

This years Pre-Show Battle was hype... We had people come out from Houston, Texas represent. I know everyone was waiting to see Boogie Monstarz and Chill Factor battle but it eventually went down after the event in the parking garage... I wish I was there but they finally settled their beef. Much respect to both crews... Glad you guys settled it on the dance floor.

It was long day but that wasn't the end of it... I ended up heading to Deco's for the After Party w/ UrbanFX. It was crackin' at Deco's... They were almost at capacity when I got there and it was only 11PM. I didn't stay long... I just wanted to see how the event was and make an appearance.

I was suppose to go to Excelsior but I heard it was crackin' there too! So I just went home and got some rest... I don't remember being that tired in forever!

Sunday: Althea, Abegail (Althea's sister), Chris, and I headed up to Universal Studios for the 2007 MTV: Movie Awards. We were casted as seat fillers... Basically we fill in open seats when celebrities leave. We waited at Universal Studios for almost 3 hours before they finally let us into the Gibson Amphitheater. But once we got it it was well worth the wait... There were tons of celebrities everywhere... Jay-Z, Jessica Alba, Paris Hilton, Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, Camron Diaz, and the list goes on... Since there were so many celebs it wasn't as special b/c they were all there in one room just sitting a few rows away from us. They didn't allow us to bring cameras, which sucked... So we have no proof but we were there. It was a wonderful experience and hopefully we can bring more of the homies w/ us next time... I want to go to the MTV: Music Awards b/c its like a huge concert.
Afterwards, the four of us went to an Italian Restaurant in Santa Monica... YUMMY!

We finally got home at 11ish... What a way to end the weekend!

Thank you everyone who helped out with all of our events, especially our Victory Nightlife staff. We put on 5 events this weekend and they were all successful! Thanks to everyone who read the entire post... I know it was long... I actually had to cut out a lot of details but its ok.

I'm 24!!!

THANK YOU everyone for all the wonderful birthday calls, text messages, myspace messages, emails, etc... I can't believe I'm 24 years old. I remember growing up imagining where I'd be when I'm 24... Lets just say its not what I expected.

[ ] Job... I work as an event coordinator for Victory Nightlife
[ ] House... I have a nice room... HAHA

Its not quite the same life I imagined for myself when I was younger but its not too far off... HAHA But I am happy and thats all that really matters! =)

Anyways, I spent all afternoon from 3:30 - 9PM in meetings on my birthday. I can't believe how many events we have lined up for this weekend... I just added another one to the line up too but I'll tell you about it later... Its going to be another exciting but long weekend.

Myster and the rest of the Wildboyz family threw a little birthday dinner for me after the Purple Haze basketball game at Apple Bees. Thanks guys...

Although I have probably one of the busiest weeks of my life... I came home to an awesome birthday surprise. I'M GOING TO THE MTV: MOVIE AWARDS hosted by Sarah Silverman on Sunday!!! Althea and I got our confirmation emails from one of my friends who's the casting director for the Movie Awards Seat Fillers. HAHA Our duties as an official seat filler is to fill in for celebrities when they leave their seats. That way the audience always looks full... I'm excited! Hopefully you'll see me sitting next to Beyonce, Jessica Alba, or even Diddy. I'm gonna try to roll up on stage as part of their entourage. HAHA
I don't know if I'll be able to hang this weekend with all thats already going on... MADNESS!!!

Best Memorial Day Weekend Ever...

I haven't been keeping up w/ my blog because I've been "working" on organizing all of our upcoming events. Friday I was at Heat Supper Club for ReLoaded Fridays. Yes... Its every FRIDAY! FYI. HAHA It didn't get crackin' till about 11:30PM... We had a continuous flow of traffic going in and out the entire night. The crowd was really diverse, which is always great... I know our usuals were holding off for the big Massive on Sunday. Overall, it was another great night!

Sunday's Club Massive @ House of Blues was crackin'!!! Memorial Day Weekend has always been a good weekend for us... Its typically our second best event @ HOB next to our Sold Out Halloween events. Plus, Memorial Day Weekend marks the beginning of Summer and its for always for my birthday!!! HAHA

It was a pretty hectic night! I was at HOB from 6:30PM - 2AM... 7.5 hours! We worked directly with HOB's new Venue Director for the first time so we were still getting use to each other and it was a learning experience. In addition, we teamed up w/ Visionshock SD so our staff doubled for the night. But everything went pretty smooth for the most part. I didn't get to party until after Culture Shock and UrbanFX performed, which was around midnight... But after that it got CRAZY!

I saw so many people I haven't seen in a while... I wish I could have taken more pictures but I was kinda drunk... HAHA At one point I was on stage pouring vodka directly into peoples mouths. I was thinking... Eww there are so many germs on this bottle! HAHA I ended up getting 3 bottles and let me tell you bottles at HOB aren't cheap... My bar tab including the food was almost $1,200.

Anyways... I remember being drunk and throwing up outside of House of Blues. Luckily we had our own hotel rooms two blocks up at the Sheraton. Here are pictures that I don't remember....

So I woke up the next morning like "Where the F*** am I?" I was so lost... I looked to my left and there was Myster in my arms, a Jumbo Jack from Jack In The Box, and the toilet. My pillow was two stacked towels, but we had the nice blanket. It wasn't that bad actually except for the hard as tile floor. Thanks for keeping me company Myster...

I later found out that people were using the bathroom as I laid paralyzed on the floor... Guys and girls... GROSS!
