HOB Block Party: July 3rd - Recap

I know I haven't been consistently blogging these past few weeks, but its mainly because I've been working on my master plan for total world domination! MUAHAHA! Although that's kinda true, I've been mainly focusing on a few upcoming projects. I'm excited for the next chapter of my life! Lets see where this takes me...

In the mean time, just sit back and enjoy the ride. Alright now lets get back to blogging... Where did I leave off?!

[Saturday, July 3rd] For the past 5 years we've celebrated in San Diego at the House of Blues on July 3rd for Independence Day. This year we brought back a few of Victory Nightlife's original DJs aka DJ Bamski (1999), DJ Hektik (1999), & DJ Happee (2001), plus Tribe of Kings and SD Source were holdin' it down too. We definitely had a solid line up of performers as well that included PGN, Second to None aka 220, and Heavy Impact (ABDC). Thank you to everyone that came out for the pre-Independence Day fireworks!

Before the night started I invited Myron Marten (21XL), who was one of the guest host for the Block Party, and a few other friends out for dinner at Katsu in Downtown SD. While walking over to the restaurant, everyone was crowed around the Gaslamp Tavern trying to catch a glimpse of the UFC fight.
Hannah (The Assistant) x Aimee (Movement Lifestlyle). So glad Aimee made it all the way down from LA to celebrate with us!
Kim (PGN) x Christine (PGN) x Dave Wen x DJ Justyles (WOD) x Dina x Janice x Myron Marten x Hannah x Aimee
Everyone loves it when Kimme x Natalie come through to shake it up on the main stage at HOB.
We takin' it back to 1999 with DJ Hekik (Armory) on the 1s and 2s!
Look who also came down from LA to party for the weekend? Twee!!! :)
LA was definitely reppin' at House of Blues!
My favorite DJ of the night was Mr. Bamski (GPPR) droppin' all the club bangers from 1999 to present day... Props!!!
The Block Party stays crackin'!
Get it ladies!!! HAHA
We closed out the night with DJ Justyles (WOD) reppin' for the next generation of disc jockeys. HAHA
It was off to La Fachada afterward for some Al Pastor California Burritos!
We got extra hooked up that night because Jose (Owner) is a big fan of Britney (2nd to left).
Thanks again to everyone for helping make the Independence Day Block Party another success. We'll see you Sunday, September 5th for the "All White Everything" Labor Day Block Party.

If you didn't notice all these pictures were taken with my iPhone 4. Love the new camera and flash... CHEESE!

Happy Independence Day!

[Sunday, July 4th] Happy Independence Day! I don't think I've mentioned that my family from London was visiting America for the first time. It's crazy because this is actually the first time I've meet them all, not including my cousin Tony because he came to the States when I was still in High School. Yes, I have a cousin named Tony from London with an English accent. Ladies, you'd love it!

Aimee (Movement Lifestyle) and I headed over to Zanzibar early in the morning for breakfast. If you're in San Diego, I definitely recommend it as a healthy breakfast spot!
It was then off to Embarcadero for the annual 5&A Dime 4th of July picnic. We made a quick stop inside Joe's Crab Shack to grab a few drinks before heading out to meet with everyone else.

I love Mojitos!
Irons and the rest of the Iron's crew joined us for a few drinks inside as well. It was nice to catch up with the homies and hear stories of their rockstar partying days in LA.
Jay (5&A Dime) x Roxie
There were having an guacamole cook off when we got there... It was pretty intense!
I don't think this little boy liked me... Look at the pure evil in his eyes! SMH!
It was then off to the Del Mar Fair grounds to meet up with 21XL and the rest of my family. Not only was it the 4th of July but it was the second to last day of the fair so that shit was crackin'!
They got the most unhealthiest foods at the SD County Fair. Chocolate covered Bacon!? Who thinks of these things? That's not even that bad compared to all the fried foods they have... Fried sticks of butter!? WTF!?
It was actually alright though... HAHA! Jimmy (London) x Demi x Drew
My cousin, Tony has to be carrying the world's largest Funnel Cake!
The Family! :)
The Friends! :)
Time to win some prizes...
I swear we spent 30 minutes here trying to win something...
30 mintues and $28 dollars later, one of us finally won. Congrats to Justyles (WOD)!
Cousins: Denzel x Drew x Jimmy x Demi
It was then off to In 'n Out to introduce London to the Double Double Animal Style! HAHA
Aimee had fun at her first SD Fair. I am pretty sure she was thinking I have a crazy family, which I do!
#1 Animal Style with Animal Style Fries!
When we got home my Crazy Aunt aka Momma-Zel put one of these mask on me... HAHA!
It was nice to spend the day with the family! I know An Diep aka Mom was extremely happy to have both Drew aka Brother and I home with the family.

Mink Mondays Tuesday Edition

[Tuesday, July 6th] Its been months since we've had a Mink Monday dinner at the LA crib. If we never had Mink Mondays, I would seriously be eating only sandwiches and cereal everyday, which I am. Since the Monday after the 4th of July felt like Sunday, we thought we'd bring back Mink Mondays for a special Tuesday edition. Why not, right!?

You know its Mink Mondays when we got heels in the the kitchen! ;)
Check out Mink (Crooks & Castles) lookin' all sexy as she chops up them greens!
Mink's Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo was the business! Wish we had more of it for everyone but we didn't anticipate so many people come over. We even had to order Domino's Pizza as back up. Speaking of Domino's, their new receipt is amazingly delicious! I was pleasantly surprised, especially with their thin crust pizza... You gotta try it!
Welcome Sosupersam aka Sammie to her first Mink Monday! Oh my gosh right!? HAHA
Shout out to the Hellz crew for coming through for dinner along with Taryn aka TK (RVCA), Aimee (Movement Lifestyle), and Lisa (Galleria).
Ladies & Wine... #ohyoufancyhuh
After a wonderful dinner we all headed off to Colony for JL's newest Hollywood Tuesday spot. We had DJ Lady Sha (Lioness LA) in the booth, Bee Nguyen (Collective) on the mic, LA's finest in the building and #morebelve in full effect.

Hello ladies! ;)
#morebelve courtesy of Mr. Bee Nguyen.
Taryn x Aimee x TK

DJ Lady Sha keeps the dance floor packed! Congrats to both Jerry & Javier on another successful opening night!
See you guys at the next Mink Monday! :)

Who brings duct tape to a club!? I do!

[Thursday, June 25th] I'm takin' it back... I started off my day in Los Angeles with a lunch meeting with BFFs aka Bam (Hellz) and Moe Zarabi (Victory) at Park of Sunset. These two remind me of Mark Marcelo and I, DJ turned designer and promoter turned terrorist, but they're BFFs. HAHA

CLICK HERE to view more photos from Thursday (all which were taken with my iPhone 4)

Don't worry, this picture isn't as intense as it looks. That's just the way Moe looks all the time... HAHA!
After lunch, I carpooled down to San Diego with the Zarabi. It was the perfect opportunity for us to catch up and talk about future opportunities. I'm ready!!!

I meet up with UFX OGs: Charm, Jim, Vince, and Alfredo, plus Lee in Downtown that night before heading to Bar Ninety for Christine Kim aka Christanks Farewell Party.

We got our pre-party on at Jill's Downtown apartment while Vince played some tunes on the guitar.
We all made a few pitstops at the Tipsy Crow and On Broadway before heading to the party.
Bar Ninety was crackin' with many familiar faces, many of which I haven't seen in forever. I blame Charmaine for getting me drunk with all these Crown Royale drinks and shots.

Bon voyage Christine! I can't believe it was 5 years ago when you first came down to San Diego and basically lived on my couch for the first few months. A lot has changed since but I'm excited for you to start a new chapter in your life.
Alfredo (UFX OG) x Veronica x TK x Angela (Culture Shock)
Wait a minute...
That's more like it!
Don't ask me what I was doing with duct tape at the club but apparently I got a bit intoxicated and started to duct tape everyone! HAHA

Tiff x April x TK x Judy
Hi Raelynn!
