Bringin' the Heat

Yesterday, I spent the entire day making phone calls in preparation for New Year's Eve.  Between calls I had a chance to stop by Commissary to visit Ron aka Bluballz, where I was pleasantly surprised to find both Ron and Mike aka Virus both chillin' at the shop.  It just so happened that they were both spinnin' at Heat that night too... Maybe they were having a DJ meeting.  HAHA

3696 Fifth Avenue.  San Diego, CA 92103.  Word on the street is Commissary is moving back to Downtown.
Drinkin' on the job
Even Julz (Mindz Alike) and his cousin stopped by to chill for a minute.  I don't know if I missed the memo but apparently all of our DJs were meeting here.  The only downer for the day was that I got a parking ticket leaving Commissary.  Fuck those meters!

Coming out the closet...
Later on that evening, I had a meeting at 4th & B.  Due to the high demand for VIP booths for NYE, we had to open up 6 more VIP booths.  We've sold over 15 VIP booths and tickets are selling fast!
Afterwards, I dropped by Onyx and Thin to meet for our upcoming Thursday, January 10th date for Ms. Stephanie Ocampo's 21st Birthday.  We've got over 5 birthday girls all celebrating that night so it should be crackin'!  Here's a few pictures from Onyx.

Then it was off to "work" at Heat and Deco's.  Its always good to run into familiar faces.  Although I see April every now and then, its been years since I've seen Kat.  The three of us use to dance on Formality and NYR back in 2002.  Thanks to Ryan from SGX Media for coming down from LA.  I hope you enjoyed your complimentary bottle of Grey Goose on Victory.  HAHA
More familiar, yet drunken, faces...
Shannon and the "real" Prince of Vietnam.
Even James (Prospect Security and Mira Mesa Alumni) and his wife hung out the entire night going back and forth between Deco's and Heat.
Despite the rain, it was crackin' like always!
At around 1:45am I got a call from Chris to eat at our favorite Friday night spot... Hong Kong in Hillcrest.  This is the 4th time in 5 weeks that I've eaten there on a Friday night.
Yet another fun Friday.  Thanks to everyone who came out.  Get ready for NYE!

Crackin'

Thursday nights have become my favorite night of the week because I'm not "working" so I'm able to roam the street of Downtown going from club to club and just wild n' out with friends.

Before we cruised to Downtown last night, I stopped by Z90's studio while DJ Mahjestik was still live on the air.  Its crazy to see what goes on behind the scenes of a major radio station.  Be on the look out for Victory Nightlife's upcoming radio show called "The Gear Up" every Thursday on Earthbound Radio starting late January hosted by yours truly.
Here I am being interviewed by Mahjestik... HAHA
Afterwards we headed down to Downtown to meet up with the rest of the gang at Red C Lounge where DJ Bluballz and Hektik were spinnin'.
DJ Hektik (OG Victory and State of Mind Radio)
Drinks on me!
We eventually made our way to Visions.  Apparently everyone was partying at Visions because it was crackin'!  The quote of the night was "Hi.  My name is Kimtan the Prince of Vietnam!"  This proved to be the most effective pick up line for both males and females.  It really works... Try it!
Kimtan is the "Ladies Man"
Best Pose of the Night 1996
Rob Zoomy (ZXR & Deviate) with a drunk DJ Teknikscian (Mass Appeal) and Andrew aka A Plus
Mahjestik used the "Kimtan" pick up line on Christine.  Looks like it worked!  HAHA
Crackin'
I am not sure what is going on here but there are lots of dudes dancing together... No homo!
We ended another fun filled Thursday night at Alverjo's with a bacon, egg, and cheese burrito.  Fun times!

Don't forget Victory will be hosting Heat Supper Club and Deco's tonight so see you in the Gaslamp!

Also, if you haven't purchased your presale tickets yet for NYE: Massive, our $30 presale tickets are almost sold out so get them before they go up to $40.  Click here to purchase your presale tickets now.

95% of the time I here all the time...

Here's a look into the Wildboyz headquarters and Victory Nightlife office aka my room.  While you're reading this I'm probably sitting in front of my desk right now.  Sadly, I spend up to 95% of my life in this 20 x 10 foot room either working on my computer, watching TV, playing video games, chillin, or sleeping.  The other 5% of my life I'm either getting food or shopping.  HAHA

Who wants to come visit me at work?

Movie Reviews

Juno is a smart, witty, and engaging comedy about a 16 year old high school girl who is faced with an unplanned pregnancy.  As played by Ellen Page (Kitty from X-Men 3), Juno wins over our hearts in the opening scene.  Its a delightful and warm-hearted movie that you should go see.  Its one of the best movies I've seen all year.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story is a funny musical spoof of a rock 'n roll icon played by John C. Reilly (Talladega Nights).  This movie features numerous laugh out loud (lol) moments and a surprisingly great soundtrack.  I would recommend it to everyone.  If you enjoyed Knocked Up and Superbad, you'll love Walk Hard.

Rating: 4 out of 5
I still want to watch National Treasure: Book of Secrets, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and The Great Debaters.  Who wants to watch a movie this week?

I can't wait to see Batman: The Dark Knight coming out in Summer 2008.  At first, I wasn't sure about Heath Ledger as the Joker, but after seeing the 6 minute trailer before I am Legend, I take it back.  This movie looks amazing!  I can't wait...

Here's a 2 minute trailer of The Dark Knight from YouTube.

Inspiration

G you will be missed. Thank you for inspiring us all with your wonderful presence, passionate heart, and creative mind.

RIP Gary Kendall (Mind Tricks & Jabbawockeez)

Skytop

Below are a pair of Supra Skytops that I'd love to get my hands on (or should I say feet in).  I already have 7 pairs of Supras, including 3 pairs of their Chad Muska signature series Skytops, which are my favorite shoes!  I still rock my blood stained brown Skytops from my infamous night at Bar Basic.
Its still not too late to get me a Christmas gift... HAHA  Speaking of Christmas gifts, my brother hooked me up with a "The Banks" Nixon watch for Christmas.  Thanks Drew!

Guess who's back?

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Hello world wide web! Its been months since I've blogged and I know you've missed me but I'm officially back from hibernation. 2007 is almost in the books and I'm extremely excited for what lays ahead in 2008.

Check back for my 2007 year in review blog coming soon.

How many people do you still hang out with from 1997? I'm proud to say that the Wildboyz just celebrated our 10th annual Christmas party at the Neglerio residence this past weekend. I can't believe its been 10 years since our freshmen year in high school. Those were the good old days when the step cut was still in, Rose and Edwin were Homecoming Prince & Princess, Austin Powers just came out in theaters, and "You Make Me Wanna" by Usher was the jam. My are we getting old... HAHA

I did a bit of digging and found a few pictures from our 1st Christmas party at Ms. Cheryl Carandang's house. People are gonna hate me for this but who cares... Its pretty funny and really embarrassing!

Back in the days...
...when I was young I'm not a kid anymore...
...but some days I sit and wish I was a kid again...

Our group of friends has grown over the years.  This year's Christmas party was nothing short of "magical"! HAHA Here are a few pictures from the Christmas festivities:

View the rest of our pictures from the Wildboyz Christmas party by visiting Ollie's flickr gallery or my personal flickr gallery.  I'll be blogging daily so check back and find out what's going on in "The Real World".  Thanks for reading!  Have a very Merry Christmas!

p.s. I heart Bin!
