MTV Cribs: Marriott Courtyard NYE Edition

We just shot this at our hotel suites at the Marriott Courtyard in Downtown... See you tonight!

I'm leaving for Egypt in the morning...

I don't think I'll be sleeping tonight... After NYE 2009 at House of Blues, I'm probably gonna continue partying into the wee hours of the night since I have a 10AM flight to Egypt!

I AM GOING TO EGYPT!!!

2009 = Year of the Gentlemen... HAHA.  I want to do a full 2008 recap but I don't know when I'll get a chance.  I'm sure I'll be posting a blog here and there from our hotel rooms tonight but just in case I don't... THANK YOU everyone for a memorable 2008.  You've all left me breathless (refer to the quote below).  Happy New Year! Please be safe tonight... Don't drink and drive!  I love you all!  See you in 2009.

With that said, I leave you with a few of my favorite quotes from Alvinisms:
"In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away"

"Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget."

"I've learned that people forget what you said, people forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."

"My mother used to say that there are no strangers, only friends you haven't met yet."

2008 Favorite City: New York

I was definitely a nomad in 2008.  I visited New York (x7), Seattle, Las Vegas (x5), San Francisco (x4), and Los Angeles (x100+).  I never wanted to stay in one place.  I kept wanting to travel, to see new things, to meet new people, to experience life outside of San Diego.  I loved it!  I've meet so many wonderful people along the way, reconnected with old friends, made new friends, and had the TIME OF MY LIFE!

Out of all the places I visited in 2008, New York was my favorite!

Recommended Movies

Seven Pounds: B+  [*]
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: A-
Eagle Eye: B+ (Now available on Blu-ray)
I love watching movies!!!

[*] Edit... After Willie pointed it out I would have to agree that Seven Pounds did deserve a better score.  The overall message of the movie was very touching and I almost cried at the end... Almost.

Le Special

Segue Mag, DC Life Collection, 5&A Dime, and Blends held a special holiday party at Thin & Onyx in Downtown San Diego. We had a hosted cocktail hour, extended after hours until 3AM, a photo booth, and Gaslamp Killer as our special guest DJ. The event was a huge success! Thank you to everyone that came out.  It turned out to be a reunion!  Everyone was there... including Shaun Phillips from the San Diego Chargers.

Photos from the photo booth and event coverage will be posted on Segue Mag soon...
