Tonight was our Friday Finale of Reloaded at Heat Supper Club.  We'll be moving Reloaded at Heat to the 2nd & 4th Saturdays of the month starting in February.  Due to a miscommunication, we only had less than 48 hours to prepare for our Friday finale.  Once again it was insanely crowded.  Thank you to everyone whose come out to support us every Friday.

Wednesday Night Adventure!

I spent my Wednesday night out with some friends at Dave 'n Busters, JT's, and finally Alverjo's.  Since my camera's battery died, I didn't take any pictures but Ollie took a ton and even some hilarious video clips.   So check out his blog entry entitled "Dave n' Buster Hustla's" by CLICKING HERE.

Here's a preview of our night...
Ms. PI '98, Ms. PI '08, TK, and Ms. China '07
Thanks to Ed, Julz, and Steven for all the drinks at JT's.  If you don't have any plans on Wednesday nights come out to JT's off of Mission George for some cheap drinks, good music, and house party vibe.  Good times!

Congrats to Ms. Philippine's 1998, Cheryl, for winning her consecutive "Best Time of my Life Award" last night.
Meet my twin, Steven and why is Cheryl smelling my arm pits?

Bon Voyage Leo Portillo...

Join the Guild!

San Diego Restaurant Week is coming up January 27th - February 1st, 2008.  I thought I'd start early this year and check out a few restaurants myself.

Restaurant #1: Islands (Mira Mesa).  Although I doubt its part of Restaurant Week, I ate lunch with Alysia and caught up with my favorite lesbian.  HAHA
Restaurant #2: The Guild (East Downtown).  Edwin always talks about this place and we finally got a chance to check it out.  The owner is an architect who designed the entire restaurant from its custom menus to its one of a kind chairs.  Everything is visually stimulating.  The food is also very tasty but they are smaller portions.  I love the place!  My picture below doesn't do it justice, check out their website.
Restaurant #3: Jade Theater (Downtown).  Since the guys at Blends, Edwin, Erwin, and Keith haven't been there before we decided to check it out and have a few drinks.  The place is gorgeous but its still missing something.  Their official grand opening is next Wednesday, January 23rd.  They'll also be hosting two of the flyest ASR parties: Crooks & Castle (Thursday) and Alphanumeric (Saturday).
Restaurant #4: TGIF (Carmel Mountain).  Today a few of the Wildboyz left to visit their roots in the Philippines.  There's a total of 20+ who will be traveling together... I wish I could go!  They'll be rollin' with two of the Philippines hottest sex symbols: Deither Ocampo and Willy Santos.  HAHA  Have fun and be safe!

Here we are at TGIF taking the cutest couple pictures.  Rose & Edwin (1999).  Cheryl and Ollie (2008?).

Have a wonderful day!

Let me upgrade you...

Today was the day all Apple fanboys were waiting for; Steve Job's presentation at Macworld 2008. Sure there was exciting news on new iPhone apps, iTunes and Apple TV but nothing compares to the announcement on the new Apple Macbook Air. The Macbook Air is Apple's newest laptop which is super duper thin, probably the thinest laptops ever made. The Macbook Air which sports a 13.3 inch screen and is .16 inches thick at the top and .76 inches thick at the bottom. Weighing in at only 3 pounds, this baby has an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor (1.6 or 1.8Ghz), 2GB Ram standard, a SSD 64GB or standard 80GB Hard drive, a multitouch trackpad with gestures like pan, zoom, rotate, and also has a full back lit keyboard. For the thinnest laptop ever made, the price is amazingly only $1,799. You can pre-order it now but will be shipping in two weeks.

I'm not too impressed with the MacBook Air. Yes, its extremely thin but I don't like the clam shape, black keyboard, no super drive... It is nice though!  But I guess I just don't need it.

However, I'm excited about the new iPhone features:
-Maps: New hybrid view, same as Google Maps. Satellite imagery and street mapping available on a single view.
-Maps: Location triangulation. Uses nearby WiFi access points and GSM towers (on the iPhone, anyway) to roughly guesstimate your current location.
-Web Clips: Web bookmarks can now be saved as home screen icons, including zoom and location information.
-Home screen: Icons on the home screen can now be rearranged.
-Home screen: Up to 9 home screens can now be created and "flicked" between.
-SMS: A single text message can now be sent to multiple recipients; groups can be recalled for future use... FINALLY!!!
-iTunes: Movie rentals are now supported.
-iTunes: Support for lyrics.

There's something in the air.

Is the theme for this year's Macworld 2008 Keynote by Steve Jobs. I'm extremely excited to see what Apple has in store for us in 2008. The introduction of the new 12" MacBook "Air" is on top of the highly anticipated rumor list. I can't wait to watch the Keynote later today. Total NERD stuff but I love it!

Smell the Flowers!

On Saturday, our friends at RAD (Random Artistic Design) came down to promote his new clothing company at It's A Grind in PQ.  The showcase featured a wide variety of young local bands, guitarist, spoken word poets, and rappers.  The place was packed and both RAD and It's A Grind couldn't be more happy with the turnout.
Even the King was there!

There were just a few of Randy's custom Vans.  Check out the amazing detail.
This was one was my favorite!
