The Price is Right x Dodger Stadium

[Wednesday, July 21st] Its always been a dream of mine to hear "Anthony Nguyen come on down! You're the next contestant on the Price is Right!" Too bad today wasn't that day! HAHA Anyways, we mobbed 14 people deep to wait all afternoon at CBS Studios in hopes of winning a new car, playing Planco, or just spinnin' the big wheel. I'm still bummed non of us got picked... I could have sworn they loved me during our pre-show interview. :(

Luckily we had Angry Birds on the iPad to keep us entertained while we waited. I think the workers were lovin' it more than work. HAHA
I had to go with the government name.
There were no camera allowed inside the studio. Although, none of us got picked, it was still a fun experience with fun people. I'm sad I don't have picture with Vanessa Andrada (StudioFX) who organized the whole thing. I'm glad we got to catch up doggie! Love you!!!

JD, Killuh B, and myself all had to leave quickly because we were headed to the Dodger vs. Giants game here in LA. Its my first Dodger game!

Although I am a SD Padres' fan, since they weren't playing I cheered on the LA Dodgers. Jenilee on the other hand was trippin', trying to bring it back to High School with her old school SF Giants bomber jacket. Get out here with that shit... HAHA!
Thanks to DJ Lady Sha for hookin' it up with the awesome tickets! We didn't make it to the game until the 6th inning but its all good because we headed straight to the bar... 1st rounds on me! ;) HAHA

Makin' It Rain Popcorn!

[Sunday, July 18th] Sunday afternoon I headed back up to LA for Teya's (JD's daughter) 9th birthday party at the park. It was nice to be able to just kick back in the grass and enjoy another beautiful day in Souther California. It was a pleasure to finally meet you Teya! Happy birthday baby girl! :)

After several rounds of Patron shots, two Pineapple Patrons, and a shot of Jager... I was done! We took the party back to Casa de Neran/Jenilee/Ant where we ended up teaching each other "How to Douggie". HAHA

I gotta say Kristen Brockman is the most ghetto white girl I know... I mean what other white girl do you know that can rap to Bone Thugs n Harmony? Now thats hood! HAHA
After posting up at the crib for a minute, we headed out to the Grove to finally watch Inception. Since we had an hour to kill before our movie started, we decided to loiter around and head to Whisper Lounge for a drink...
I was being my usual happy self, frolicking through the streets, dancing to the music, and throwing popcorn in the air. Harmless right!? SMH Apparently, its not allowed at the Grove... Is this really happening!?

Apparently, the security guards got a call from headquarters saying, "There's a guy throwing popcorn in the air like its snow." So I guess you can say I was littering? C'mon son! REALLY!? SMH!

It was so ridiculous, we couldn't stop laughing. Oh well, luckily there was an 11:50PM showing at the Arclight. Too bad Jenny and I slept through parts of the movie... Anyone wanna watch Inception with me again!?

New 27" Apple Cinema Display

Having reached a grand old age in the rapidly cycling tech world, Apple's 24-inch LED Cinema Display is today getting itself a new sibling. The new 27-inch display clocks in at a 2560 x 1440 resolution, sports a 16:9 aspect ratio, and does it all for the (not so) low price of $999. That might not sound like a steal, but Dell's similar U2711 (both offer IPS at the same resolution) actually retails for a hundie more at $1,099. For the price Apple includes a built-in iSight camera, a three port powered USB hub, and a universal MagSafe connector for charging up your MacBook. Like the 24-inch before it, Apple has really built this display to be the ultimate MacBook or MacBook Pro companion, since a single cable breaks out into the USB, Mini DisplayPort (with audio support), and MagSafe plug that are just about all your laptop requires when sitting down at a desk. PR is after the break, and the screen will start shipping in September.
