Father's Day w/ An Diep!

This past Sunday was Father's Day, but since my Dad lives in Vietnam, I spent the entire day with An Diep aka Mom! As a single mother, she's not only Mom but she's Dad too! Love you Mom!

Its been awhile since we've had the chance to just hang out for the entire day. In just a few short weeks, Andrew aka Brother will be moving up to San Francisco to go to SF State and I'll be moving up to LA. Like all Moms, she's not ready to see her "babies" go!

We spent the day at Fashion Valley doing a bit of shopping, eating, and watched The Proposal. It was a great romantic comedy that is perfect for any date, even if its your Mom! =) Go see it but make sure you watch Transformers 2 first! HAHA

I was planning to head up to LA on Saturday but decided to in SD to celebrate 2 of my favorite people's birthdays: KJ Gonzales x Rhoda Laxa.

Started off the evening by heading to BJ's in La Jolla (yes, there's a BJ's in La Jolla, but its hella small) for KJ's 27th birthday! Damn, we're all getting so old! Anyways, we waited forever but it was well worth the wait because their pizzas are amazing!

Congrats once again to Krissy x KJ on their recent engagement. I've been asked to be a groomsmen at the wedding. I feel honored! I swear they're much happier in real life than this picture portrays... HAHA!

Afterwards it was off to Ultrazone for laser tag! Back in High School all the Wildboyz use to mob to Ultrazone every Saturday night at Midnight for the $5 games. We seriously went for 40+ weeks in a row and I use to be a role player. Hardcore!
Everything is exactly the same including their prices, which was awesome!

[Friday] Wale performing live at Thin/Onyx!

Friday started off as one of those days... Check out my tweets (is that what's called?) from Friday:

Found out I have to retake my MBA 510 class which will set me back another 6 wks. FML! I wish I had a time machine... Must stay positive!

"Obstacles are necessary for success because victory comes only after many struggles & countless defeats.” Lets stay positive!

Paid a $70 parking ticket online to find out I have 4 other unpaid tickets. Total = $200. FML! Its been one of those days... =(

Of course I was mad at myself, but you live and you learn. There's nothing I could do at that point except stay positive, learn from it, and move on.

Anyways, Friday was Victory Nightlife x Armory Massive's event with Wale at Thin/Onyx. I meet up with Wale at the Fizix who was doing a last minute meet and greet. I ended up taking him to his hotel in Downtown and taking out his road manager to dinner.

We even stopped by Sway to support some of our friends who were modeling in a fashion show. We'll be back at Sway this Friday for R&R!

Happy Father's Day!

Its been more than 2 years since I've visited my Dad in Vietnam. Although we're on opposite sides of the world, we've always maintained a close relationship. As long as I can remember, I've always wanted to be a businessman just like him. I've extremely proud of him! I know people joke around and call him the Godfather of the Vietnamese Mafia, but he's been able to go from rags to riches, and is considered one of the most successful entrepreneurs in Vietnam.

He's part of the reason why I continue to strive hard everyday because I know he's in Vietnam doing the same to provide a better life for our family. I'm thankful for the life that I have and owe it to my Dad.
