Bay Area Takeover
I haven't event watched this "slide show" aka short 30 minute film yet from our recent Victory x Mindz Alike Bay Area Takeover because its 30 minutes long! WTF!? A 30 minute long slide show is not a slide show, its a short film. I'll watch it when I have 30 minutes to spare but the first 4 minutes are fun... I miss the Bay already!
Good job to Hannah aka the Assistant on putting this Thug Life Production together. 143!
Let me know how it is! :)

"Colin Hearts Kay" at the SD Asian Film Festival
I'm proud to announce that Victory Nightlife will be co-presenting the romantic comedy "Colin Hearts Kay" at the upcoming 11th Annual San Diego Asian Film Festival along with MYX.
"Colin Hearts Kay" Movie Screening
Friday, October 22nd at 9:15pm
Hazard Center Ultra Cinemas
7510 Hazard Center Drive
CLICK HERE to purchase your tickets.
Synopsis: Emmy-winning director Sebastian Ho Conley makes his feature debut with this story about a Brooklyn (specifically Park Slope) cartoonist Colin Jensen who has just broken up with his girlfriend Kay, a successful host of the food blog “Kay’s Kitchen.” Colin illustrates (quite literally) a journey to recall what went awry in their 3-year relationship. Colin’s drawings are whimsical and light and turn into animated backgrounds while mixing with the live action characters.
Anyone who has been in a long-term relationship will relate to Colin and Kay’s trials and tribulations. While Colin is full of imaginative energy and fantasies of their future together, Kay seeks stability and a partner she can bring home to mom and dad. Their relationship is one all too often seen and depicted, but Conley has added cultural issues to the story as Kay has been raised in a traditional Chinese family where love equals duty and sacrifice.
Shot entirely in Brooklyn (by Sebastian’s brother Benjamin) and with a soundtrack that includes up and coming Brooklyn bands, COLIN HEARTS KAY is as much a love letter to New York’s hippest borough as a love story that reflects today’s times. Shot on a shoestring budget, the Conley Brothers’ collaboration is full of laughs as well as heart. – Mye Hoang

The Wildboyz Rager
[Friday, October 8th] This past weekend I found myself going from LA -> SD -> LA -> LV -> LA. It started off Friday with me heading down to San Diego to celebrate the Wildboyz very own TJ Retuya's 28th birthday. We celebrated by mobbin' out 20 deep to a sold out Bassnectar show at House of Blues. Thanks to John (Live Nation) for reserve a private VIP area for us and to Clint (House of Blues) for all the hospitality.
Wildboyz 4 Life!
It was pure pandaemonium the entire 2 hours...
Cecile aka Sister Bear x Jenny aka Miss China '07
It was ridiculously hot in the main room with everyone fist pumpin' like crazy!
Happy birthday TJ! Say ahhhh...
I'm thankful I got a chance to hang out and rage with the Wildboyz fam. Love you guys!

What is your Desk like?
This is an interesting video about how people organize their desk and the philosophies behind their workspace. I wonder what my desk says about me...
Mink Monday: Chachy's Birthday Edition ft. Talia
[Monday, October 4th] Its been hard to get everyone together for Mink Mondays with everyone's busy schedules. But two weeks ago we brought it back in celebration of Mark Villa aka Chachy's birthday with guest chef Talia Sunset. It was a less sexy toned down version considering we usually require our chefs to wear high heels in the kitchen. HAHA However I'll take executive chef Mink in rain boots and an eye patch (don't ask me) and a delicious plate of food over starving any day.
Killuh B x Talia Sunset x Melissa Reign x Mink
We had Korean x Thai food... My favorites!
Cheers to Chachy! Happy birthday roomie!
Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Maya Michelle!
FYI: If you haven't seen the Social Network, its a must see! Certainly got me thinking about my master plan and how I can takeover the world...

Hennessy Artistry at Playhouse Hollywood
[Wednesday, October 6th] Creative Contraband teamed up with LVMH to bring the Hennessy Artistry event at Playhouse in Hollywood featuring Q-Tip, MC Lite, VV Brown, and a surprise guest... Ice Cube! The event also included complimentary appetizers, open Hennessy bar, and Hollywood's finest. They without a doubt didn't hold back on this event... I think everyone had the time of their life! :)

The Sayla by Herman Miller x Yves Béhar
After finally picking up my first Herman Miller Aeron chair, I saw this post about their new collaboration with Yves Béhar for the new "Sayla" chair. Not only is it well designed, but for $300 its a much more affordable Herman Miller chair. I wouldn't mind outfitting the upcoming GPPR office with these new chairs. :)
Created collaboratively between American manufacturing company Herman Miller and industrial designer and Fuseproject founder Yves Béhar, you’re looking at the “Sayl” chair. Over 2.5 years in the making, the chair’s design is influenced by the suspension bridges of San Francisco, where the chair was created. For maximum comfort, various degrees of tension are infused into the injection-molded back, providing sacral, lumbar and spine support. The chair’s elegant form also works to adapt to the user’s movement, particularly given the structure’s integrated 3-dimensional intelligence. Now available in both side and work chair forms in various colors, the chairs are importantly made from 93% recyclable material.
