Sanrio's 50th Anniversary: "Small Gift"

[Monday, November 11th] After a productive day at the Creative Contraband offices in Culver City, the crew headed out to the VIP Pre-Opening of Sanrio's 50th Anniversary "Small Gift" event at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica.  I heard about the VIP event a few days before but I didn't know it was going to be such a huge ordeal, but I'm glad I got a chance to experience everything... Especially since it was all FREE! :)

When we got there the line was ridiculously long, but fortunately for us we work along with NRG, who was organizing the event so we got the VIP treatment.  Thanks Elyse (NRG)!

Mark Marcelo (722 Figueroa) couldn't hold his excitement in, especially since there was complimentary Yogurtland!

They even had 5 food trucks lined up outside, including the Grilled Cheese Truck, which I've heard so much about.  I couldn't resist...

I ended up with both a grilled cheese sandwich and a burrito from the Kogi Truck.  OMG!!!

When I was 3 years old I wanted to be a cop just like Erik Estrada on the hit 80s TV series "CHiPs".  Although that's no longer my dream, it was nice to get a chance to chop it up with the man himself.  HAHA  Thanks Herman Flores (Modern Home + Living) for taking the time to introduce me.  My parents are gonna love this photo! HAHA

Not only was this event absolutely free, with hosted bars, complimentary food, and tons of fun stuff, but they also had amazing gift bags!

Thank you Sanrio and congratulations on your 50th anniversary!!!  Can't wait for the next Sanrio event! :)
