ABDC Season 5 Finale & Wrap Party

[Thursday, April 8th] For the past 2 months, I've had the amazing opportunity to cover MTV's America's Best Dance Crew along with Pacific Rim Video. Season 5's finale was finally here with two top crews, Poreotix & Blueprint Crew. If you're living under a rock for some reason, then you know Poreotix were crowned the Season 5 Champions! Congratulations to my Vietnamese (and some Filipino) brothers from Westminster, CA, which I am the 7th member of! ;)

I've gone to 3 of the last 4 ABDC finales, but they decided to switch it up on us with an onset Wrap Party in the back lot of Warner Bros Studios.

The wrap party was catered by the famous Kogi Truck... Too bad we were all busy conducting interviews that we didn't even get to grab a bite. :(

I don't remember what I was laughing at but apparently it was pretty funny (for me at least)! Congrats to Blueprint Crew for making it all the way to the top 2 teams. They're such an amazing cohesive group.

Last year, I worked with a good friend of mine, Toe-Knee "TK" Nguyen for an editorial shoot for a new magazine which didn't launch, so I held on these images until now. TK is nightlife promoter in Los Angeles and San Diego with his company, Victory Nightlife. We did the shoot at Thin/Onyx in downtown San Diego, which is one of the mainstays for TK's parties. We made use of the club in the daytime, which was definitely a change of pace from the craziness at night. A big thanks to Desiree for setting up and styling the shoot and Dominic for the assist.

Its seriously been a long hectic few weeks working in the lab on my master plan to takeover the WORLD! I've been itching to blog about all my latest adventures:

But I've been so caught up on all these different projects that I haven't had time to focus on redesigning my new blog, THETKTIMES.COM. Therefore in the meantime, I'm going to continue to update my blogspot and introduce a few new categories to the blog, like "iPhone Adventures" with video/photos straight from my iPhone 3GS. In addition, these past several weeks I've found myself stepping outside of my comfort zone and begin to start challenging myself once again. I am focused! With that in mind, I have a QOTD: "The greatest barrier to success is the fear of failure." Remember we fail so we can succeed.
