Hollywood Tour Guide

I started off my Wednesday by heading up to Runyon Canyon, which is probably my favorite spot in LA, with Leslie so she can check out the magnificent view. It was such a beautiful clear day in Southern California! Since she was spending the day in LA, I decided to play tour guide and shower her around.
This is pretty much as random as it gets, but sometimes in life you'll be surprised by the people you meet. Similar to my quote on my splash page, "Nothing of me is original. I am the combined effort of everybody I've ever known" -Chuck Palahniuk
We headed over to Hollywood & Highlands to visit the Chinese Mann Theatre and roam the streets of Hollywood Blvd.
We ran into Samuel L. Jackson!
Marilyn Monroe!
Oh yeah, don't forget about Snoop Dogg too! HAHA
RIP MJ!

Next it was off to the Grove to do a bit of shopping. While we were there a police standoff ensued...
At first everyone thought there was an A list celebrity inside but once the police officers pulled out their guns, it started to look much more serious. I never found out what exactly happened.
Later that night, we meet up with Alexis and Melanie for dinner at Bosa Nova before heading out to the Roosevelt Hotel for Cruel Summers.
Bossa Nova's pastas are so goooooood!
After I parked, I somehow got my finger caught in the door! It seriously closed all the way...
Melanie x Alexis x Chach x Leslie
I totally failed with this picture of me taking a shot of Patron with Dana and her friends!
Anna, April, and friends also came out to join the party. College Life!!!
Even Dru (Cockstar) came through as well. It was a chill night spent poolside chatting with friends and sharing a few drinks.
The next morning, Leslie and I headed to Union Station to take the Amtrak and part ways. For the short 3 days I knew Leslie, I hope I was able to make a lasting impact on her life. It was seriously a random and spontaneous few days but it was fun!

So Leslie headed to Santa Barbara to continue her vacation to SF and LV. I left to head back to San Diego. Its been a while since I've been home. Too bad I wouldn't be spending too much time there...
The Amtrak ride is pretty relaxing, especially the coastal scenery.
Of course I had to take a picture of the Boobies! HAHA
Time to get ready for Slightly Dangerous in Las Vegas!

JFX to LAX to MY HOUSE!

After only knowing Leslie for the 36 hours while I was at JFK, I now found myself playing host to a complete stranger who describes herself as a complete introvert. So where was I taking her right after we landed in LA? The most crackin' Tuesday night spot in Hollywood... My House! HAHA

CLICK HERE to see photos from JFK to LAX.

Thanks to Chachy aka Mark Villa for picking us up at LAX. Since it was Leslie's first time in Southern California we decided to take her to In N Out burger!
Too bad she's a vegetarian... HAHA! But she still liked the grill cheese with animal style fries!

Cheers to being back on the west coast and to new friends!
I ran into my old buddy Chris whose been doing big things out in LA with different star athletes. Keep hustlin' homie!
Carmelo Anthony (Nuggets) x Amare Stoudemire (Suns) were both in the building!
My girl Katrina (Clippers Girl) was celebrating her birthday that night. I went from being stuck at JFK airport straight to My House poppin' bottles with the birthday girl!
Andrea x Jenny
Alexis x Melanie x Doug Wu (Collective)
As usual the place was crackin'!!!
Chach x Nick (Diamond)
Bee Nguyen (Collective) giving Katrina the birthday treatment... HAHA!
Thanks Dana for saving my life last time I was at My House!
Afterwards we paid Michael Jackson's Hollywood star a visit! RIP MJ!
Finished off the night with some late night food at Denny's with the birthday girl Katrina!
It was a fun night with new and old friends. Leslie was definitely out of her element but she said she had a wonderful time. Not only does she never going clubbing but you would never find her dancing on the dance floor but she did both that night! Let the spontaneous good times roll...

Held hostage at JFK for 36 hours!

I'm finally back after spending the past weekend in Las Vegas for Slightly Dangerous. I've got plenty of pictures and stories but I definitely need to recover from all the chaos from these past few weeks (or months).

Lets rewind back to Monday, August 3rd when I was still in New York at JFK airport trying to catch an early flight back to SD for my 6PM final. For those of you that follow me on twitter and/or facebook, I'm sure you all saw my status updates from my 36 hour fiasco at JFK.

Basically, there was a bomb scare at LaGuardia airport a few days before, so there were tons of people trying to fly standby. Since I fly free, all the paying customers have priority over us. At one point the standby list was over 100+ people... DAMN!

It really wasn't as bad as it sounds. Yes, I was bored out of my mind at times, I slept in Terminal 4, I didn't shower, but I was able to bond with a bunch of strangers. The best way for me to describe it is, its like a movie where everyone gets held hostage, and eventually they build a lifelong bond. I'm not sure about the lifelong part but we all made the best of it!

I am so glad I have this Sprint wireless card because I would have gone nuts without internet access.
Spending 36 hours at the airport you see some random shit...
My new BFFs: Marissa x Leslie
We tried getting on every flight to either SF or LA, but they were all full!
Tristan (United) even came by to lend some moral support.
Damn 109 people on the standby list...
We kept searching flights via the internet but we didn't have any luck... :(
I ended up bonding with a group of people: Tony x Mauricio x Marissa x Mary x Monika
We all ended up sleeping in Terminal 4 along with everyone else... Wanna see a dead body?

The next day we were back at it again at 5AM trying to get on any flight we could... I had a few close calls but I didn't make it. I was the next one on the list but there were zero seats remaining.
I had already missed my Final, which I got rescheduled, but I was trying to make it back Tuesday for the Cool Kids video shoot in the Hills but I didn't make it.

I made the 2nd to last flight of the night back to LAX. Everyone was cheering for me when I finally got my ticket, but I felt bad because I wasn't sure if the others would make it...
But somehow all 12 standbys made it onto the flight, including a girl whose been at the airport for over 6 days. It was a great feeling especially flying 1st class! So great that we all took a photo together outside the gate once we landed. HAHA
Thank you to everyone who help make this 36 hour disaster as enjoyable as it was. I ended up offering Leslie, who was originally suppose to go on vacation to SF, a place to stay in LA. After 36 hours at JFK, the both of us just wanted to make it to the West Coast. So that was the start of her spontaneous vacation with a stranger began... Next stop My House (the club) in Hollywood!

Imagine being her mom and having your daughter say, "Hey mom! I'm going to go to LA instead with this stranger I met at the airport, and stay at the stranger's friends house!"
