World of Dance San Diego

[Saturday, August 29th] World of Dance San Diego is finally here! I've been looking forward to having WOD in San Diego ever since the tour was first announced in 2008. Its been months of planning and it was all about to take place. After an exhausting 22 hour Friday, Saturday would prove to be just as tiring, but I can't complain because I love what I do!

Overall World of Dance was a success! Despite the chaos and pandemonium backstage, the show ran smoothly (with a few technical difficulties), but it seemed like everyone enjoyed it! Quest Crew seriously killed it on stage! We were all panicking backstage since they were driving down from a show they did in LA at 9pm. They literally got to the Convention Center at 12:08am and performed at 12:14am. Talk about cutting it close... The crowd was going bananas too!

The show didn't end until 12:20am and I was exhausted but I had to stop by the after party at Thin/Onyx. The place was packed and ridiculously hot by the time I got there! I took a quick shot of Patron with friends before heading to the Bitter End with Super Crew to meet up with the UrbanFX fam.

World of Dance Set Up

[Friday, August 28th] In between the WOD News segments and the WOD Pre-Party on Friday, I stopped by the Convention Center to help with last minute preparations for the big day.

[Friday, August 28th] After an already long day that began at 5:30am, I headed to the San Diego's Convention Center to help set up for World of Dance (pictures coming soon). Our core staff then headed to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner. That night we hosted the official after party at Sway Nightclub featuring DJ Zeb (Stay Fresh).

FOX x NBC: World of Dance Promos

[Friday, August 28th] Was the beginning of a long and exhausting weekend. The day started off with me waking up at 5:30am to head to the Fox 5 studio in Clairemont Mesa to do a promo segment for World of Dance with Choreo Cookies (WOD Champions) and Bboy Roxrite (Freestyle Sessions Champion). It was just a short 2 minute segment but it was fun! Hopefully a few of you got a chance to catch it... I'll find the video and post it later!

Later that afternoon I headed to NBC studios in Downtown SD to do another promo for the afternoon news at 4pm with Vanessa Andrada (UFX) and her kids at StudioFX. My wonderful assistants, Hannah and Noelle also came along to join in on the fun.
StudioFX were one of the many teams exhibitioning at World of Dance.
I did a short interview, but it was weird to see myself on all the screens in HD! HAHA... They only used like 2 lines from the interview but at least we were able to get the word out about WOD.
Thanks to StudioFX for coming through!
My day would last from 5:30am until 4:00am (22.5 hours), followed by World of Dance the next day! OMG!
